China’s Li Jun Mou has enjoyed studying her first degree at USC so much that she may return to study a second award program in the future.

The Bachelor of Business (International Business) student says University of the Sunshine Coast lecturers and tutors are always ready to help students.

“I like the teachers here, they are all very nice,” Li Jun says.

“As an English as a Second Language student, sometimes I don’t really understand some information that the teachers say in the class, so I often ask questions after the class. Teachers are always very patient in explaining to me.”

Li Jun says she chose to come to USC because it offered her the opportunity to learn alongside native English speakers, and practise her English language skills. Li Jun has also attended many of the morning teas International Relations staff hold for students.

“I met many friends there who are from different countries,” she says.

Li Jun says International Relations staff are “friendly and kind”.

“Every time I have problems with my study, visa, passport, health etc, they always try their best to help me,” Li Jun says.

“About a couple of months ago, I got sick. I wanted to see a doctor, but didn’t know where I should go, because I had never seen a doctor in Australia before. Therefore, I went to International Relations to ask for information. They helped me to make a doctors appointment and drew a map to show me how to get there.”

Li Jun says while she would like some experience in the workplace after graduating, she may return to USC in the future to study nursing.
