China’s Pengying Liu was interested in undertaking an international study experience that would provide a distinct contrast to her home institution.
She found USC’s support services made it easy for her to work through the process of applying to study at USC, while the University’s Orientation program and information pack helped her settle into life on the Sunshine Coast.
Pengying says she has enjoyed participating in activities organised by USC International Relations staff.
“The tour of Australia Zoo has given me a better understanding of Australian animals and Australia’s efforts to protect them,” she says.
Pengying describes the teaching and learning environment at USC as “interactive”.
“The classes proceed in a more leisurely and interactive way,” she says.
“I like chatting with the tutors and lecturers and having fun with the computers. This university provides a very supportive environment for study.”
Pengying says she would recommend USC to others from her home country.
