Program: Study Abroad

Josefin Dahlberg planned to study in Australia for just two semesters, but has been so happy at USC that she has now decided to study an entire degree program.

“After this first semester I have decided to do my whole degree here in Australia at USC,” Josefin says. “The reason is that USC is terrific.”

Josefin has found the campus and University community inviting.

“Since the first day I came to Australia everybody has been so friendly and I have always felt so welcome,” Josefin says.

“The campus is really nice with the Library, the cafés and of course the amazing kangaroos that you can see every day.

“The main difference I have noticed here, compared to my home country, Sweden, is the people. They are so friendly and are not afraid to talk to new people. I also find the Australians really relaxed, and that is just fantastic!”

At the International Relations office, Josefin has found help and answers to her questions. "International Relations is a place I have visited heaps of times during this semester,” she says.

“I think it is great that USC has a place for all the international students where they can go and ask questions and for help.”

Josefin has also enjoyed participating in the IR activities program. “International Relations has activities every month, and I went on the trip to Fraser Island which was totally amazing!” she says.

“They also arranged a welcome breakfast the first week of this semester, which was a really good chance to be able to have a look around the Coast.”

For Josefin, USC is all about balancing learning and fun. “USC and the Sunshine Coast are awesome places if you want to learn a lot, get new experiences and have heaps of fun,” she says.

“I really recommend the Sunshine Coast and USC to other students who want to see and experience something new, because I am definitely having the time of my life here!”
