Sebastian Steffens says a modern campus with friendly staff made his study abroad experience an enjoyable one.

“Australia always fascinated me and I was attracted by the idea of studying on the other side of the globe, to experience a new culture and to be at a university so close to nature,” the German student says.

“The climate in this part of Australia also had a great influence on my decision because I like to be outdoors and play sport.”

During his time at USC, Sebastian took advantage of the many activities organised for students by International Relations.

“I participated in the Board Riders Club and went to nearly every morning tea, as well as Fraser Island, Australia Zoo and Brisbane,” Sebastian says.

“Furthermore, I did the Hinterland Tour. It was always a great time and a good opportunity to socialise with other students.”

Sebastian says he would recommend USC to other German students who are interested in studying overseas.

“It is a great experience and you learn a lot,” he says.

“The University is nice and modern and the staff are always friendly.”
