Amanda Reilly
Bachelor of Science (Public Health) graduate
The University of the Sunshine Coast’s strong regional links have given one Bachelor of Science (Public Health) graduate a career boost.
Amanda Reilly now works for Community Solutions, an organisation that develops and implements projects and services for disadvantaged individuals in the community.
Amanda was inspired to apply for a job at the organisation after one of their representatives gave a lecture at USC.
Amanda credits the links between the University and the community with giving her career a head-start.
“The links that USC had with Community Solutions, and the knowledge and skills I gained regarding public health and community work through my degree, were a definite advantage,” she says.
“Since working at Community Solutions I have had a range of experience in project delivery. Each new role has been a different challenge and enabled my skills and knowledge to grow."
“Over time, I have had the opportunity to take on additional responsibilities and am now involved in planning programs and projects, liaising with funding bodies and supervising staff.”
