Andrew Allpass
Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Business (Tourism) graduate

When Andrew Allpass returned to Australia after travelling for 18 months overseas, he decided to embark on a degree that would allow him to focus on one of his greatest passions.

The golf enthusiast, and Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Business (Tourism) graduate, is now the Education and Events Coordinator of the Queensland Division of PGA Australia.

“I chose to study at USC because of the location and the quality of the program and the academic staff,” Andrew says.

“I also enjoyed the small size of USC and the access to lecturers and tutors.”

Andrew was employed by PGA Australia in 2004 to work in a head office role in Sydney, before he was able to secure a role that allowed him to return to Queensland.

“My main duties now are the management and delivery of the PGA Education Program within Queensland, including the coordination of the Queensland PGA Trainee Program and Professional Development Program,” Andrew explains.

“My other responsibilities include event coordination and the delivery of PGA programs and initiatives to the Queensland golfing community.

“My degree has provided me with the skills and confidence—particularly in regards to public speaking—to undertake my role efficiently and professionally.”

Andrew says he would recommend USC to any prospective students because of its small size, ideal location, quality teaching staff and strong industry links.
