When Hungary’s Istvan Fekete enrolled in a Bachelor of Business degree at the University of the Sunshine Coast, he was looking for a change from the living environments he had experienced in larger cities.
“I felt the location of USC enabled me to live, study and work somewhere where people came to spend their holidays,” Istvan says.
“After having lived in cities such as London, Auckland and Sydney, I figure the ‘Sunny’ Coast suits me best.”
Istvan describes USC as a new, well-equipped university.
“The small class sizes and well-qualified staff help me to achieve my goals,” he says.
USC staff helped Istvan find accommodation in a share house, and he also received academic assistance with how to write essays and reports to achieve the best results.
“I found that I can easily contact my tutors for consultation when I need help or feedback,” Istvan says.
He says he would definitely encourage other international students to come to USC.
“Apart from the fact that to study here is a unique experience, it is quite difficult to find good surf in a landlocked country!” Istvan says.
