Javiera Correa chose to study on the Sunshine Coast for its
weather and natural beauty.
"I liked the idea of a modern university surrounded by nature,"
Javiera says.
Improving her English language skills was also important to
Javiera.
"Smaller class sizes are better. You can improve your English
skills faster and make friends more easily."
Staying with a local family also helped Javiera's English.
"I am with a Homestay family, so I have to speak English all day
and that allows me to learn quickly," she says.
Studying at the University of the Sunshine Coast has been a
great experience for Javiera.
"I have developed self-confidence, respect and an open mind
because of the variety of people and culture," she says.
"USC is a good place. You don't feel too alone or stressed like
in big cities."
