Home country: Thailand
Program: Bachelor of Arts
May Boonyobol has been appointed to the Student Guild Board of
Directors at the University of the Sunshine Coast.
"This is one way I can mix with other domestic students at the
University," May says.
"I think the Sunshine Coast is a beautiful place and the people
are friendly."
"You get more time with the lecturers and tutors because of the
small class sizes, as well as a better discussion environment
because you are not speaking in front of that many people," she
says.
"I found the staff and teachers helpful and approachable,
especially the student services staff.
"Accommodation is good. Those students who stay in Uni Central,
Varsity and The Village have better diversity in terms of relating
to other students.
"The University is small, people are friendly and it is easy to
adapt to.
"It has been an enjoyable experience being a student at the
University and I'm glad to be here.
"I have made so many valuable friendships with other students
and staff members. I believe the University provides students with
the best service," says May.
