Shannon Adams has gone from managing a fast-food restaurant to becoming an accountant for one of the Sunshine Coast’s largest accounting firms, and she credits USC for her success.
The Bachelor of Business graduate is now working as an accountant for Poole and Partners, one of the most reputable accounting firms on the Coast.
Shannon says her USC studies helped her to kick-start her career.
“USC helped me gain my position by assisting me in attaining the skills necessary to secure a job: writing a concise resume, addressing selection criteria, and even how to perform in a job interview,” Shannon explains.
Shannon says she was attracted to USC because of its small size and local location.
“The location of the University is convenient when compared to a Brisbane campus,” she says.
“The size of the University allows you to really get to know both the lecturers and the tutors and enables them to provide a learning environment more suited to the specifics of the students involved."
