Students get on board at USCCentral
The University of the Sunshine Coast has launched a new, improved and easier-to-use online service for its students.
The new service, USCCentral, will allow students to take greater control of their own information for updating personal details, enrolling in classes or viewing grades.
USCCentral replaces the University’s previous online access and registration system, SOLAR, which closed on 22 October.
Students can access USCCentral at <USCCentral.usc.edu.au>, or follow the links from the USC website or portal, using their existing network usernames and passwords.
USC Student Administration Systems Officer Oliver Gillingham said students would welcome the new system’s improved functionality and useability.
“USCCentral features an updated look and feel that’s cleaner and more intuitive to use,” he said.
“We’ve made USCCentral easier for students to use and made important information simpler to find by improving navigation to key functions.”
Mr Gillingham said a special feature of USCCentral was an enrolment cart that could be used to greatly streamline the enrolment process.
“Students can search for classes, add them to their cart and enrol in classes, all in one easy-to-use process,” he said.
“They can also save classes to their cart prior to enrolment, and then enrol directly in these classes once enrolment opens.
“USCCentral will have all the functions students would have found in SOLAR to enrol, to view grades and to view class schedules.”
