USC to hold study options evening
The University of the Sunshine Coast will hold a free information evening on Wednesday 17 December for all those planning to study at USC in 2009.
The Your Options 09 event from 4-7pm will give prospective students the chance to talk one-on-one with academics and admissions staff about study options, new degrees, studying overseas, scholarships and their future careers.
Current students will lead guided tours of the campus, and information will be available about the University’s nationally-recognised student support services and its award-winning Global Opportunities (GO) program.
Financial support staff will be on hand to explain the costs involved in tertiary study and outline the scholarships and bursaries available to USC students.
Students also can chat with admissions staff about how they can improve their chances of getting into the degrees they want.
The University of the Sunshine Coast recently received high accolades for the quality of education it provides, with the 2009 Good Universities Guide describing USC as a five-star performer.
The annual guide awarded top marks (five stars) for USC’s staff qualifications, teaching quality, graduates’ satisfaction with their overall university experience, and their satisfaction with the generic skills they gained while at university.
USC also scored well (four stars) for access by equity groups and for Indigenous enrolments.
