Sporting groups

A number of sporting groups conduct training and fixtures using the sporting facilities at the University:

  • USC Athletics Club meet at the athletics track on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday afternoons for training and also hold regular track meets. For more information visit their website www.uscathleticsclub.asn.au.

  • USC Little Athletics Centre meet each Friday afternoon from 5.30pm at the athletics track for primary age to 18 years athletics training. For more information visit their website www.usclac.org.au.

  • USC Tennis Academy operates every afternoon on the hard courts for junior and senior coaching and fixtures. Contact Dan Swords by email info@tennisexpress.com.au.

  • USC Rugby - Senior (Barbarians) includes divisions for Colts, Womens, Reserve Grade and A grade. The club competes in the Sunshine Coast Rugby Union competition. For more information visit their website www.uscrugby.rugbynet.com.au.

  • USC Rugby - Junior (Vikings) includes divisions from under-7’s to under-17’s. The club competes in the Sunshine Coast Junior Rugby Union competition. For more information visit their website www.uscjruc.rugbynet.com.au.

  • Sunshine Coast Futsal Association coordinates futsal (5-a-side indoor soccer) competitions for under 6's right through to over-30's. The Association uses the University's Sports Stadium for fixtures on Monday, Wednesday and Friday evenings. For more information visit their website www.sunnycoastfutsal.com.au.

  • Sunshine Coast Table Tennis Club meet each Thursday night at the Sports Stadium for social play and training. Beginners are welcome. For more information visit their website www.sunshinecoasttabletennis.org.

  • Suncoast Spinners is a social wheelchair basketball group that meet each Thursday night at the Sports Stadium. Able-bodied players welcome. For more information visit their website www.sportingwheelies.org.au.
