This exhibition presents the award-winning photographer, R Ian Lloyd’s large format portraits of sixty-one of Australia’s most acclaimed painters in their studio environment, be it an inner city loft, suburban kitchen or sandy earth of the outback.

Each image contains extraordinary and revealing detail about the artist and their work.

Curated by nationally acclaimed arts writer and critic John McDonald, the exhibition opened in 2007 at the National Portrait Gallery, Canberra and has toured across Australia since then.

An exhibition by R. Ian Lloyd Productions toured by Museums and Galleries NSW.
