Partnerships

The University takes a concerted approach to contributing to the growth of the Sunshine Coast economy and being involved with the business community and peak industry bodies:

  • The Innovation Centre holds a number of business events throughout the year, designed to encourage entrepreneurial approaches to business.
  • The Faculty of Arts and Business delivers professional development opportunities through business forums and coursework business programs.
  • Hundreds of USC students become involved with businesses each year through the Work Integrated Learning program.
  • Business leaders participate in a range of USC Industry Advisory Committees, contributing to the development of academic programs that meet industry and regional needs.
  • Academic staff make frequent presentations to industry and community groups.

Businesses can find out how to become involved with the University by lodging a query with USC Link.

Business / Higher Education Round Table (B-HERT)

USC is a member of B-HERT, a not-for-profit organisation established to strengthen the relationship between business and higher education by bringing together leaders in higher education, business, industry bodies, and research institutions.

In 2012, the University will host the B-HERT Regional Higher Education Forum on 30 and 31 August.
