Giving opportunities
To assist the University of the Sunshine Coast with its growth, the University Foundation has a number of giving programs. Donations are tax deductible.
The five main giving programs are the:
Annual Appeal
The Annual Appeal provides an opportunity for alumni and friends to give regular support to the University.
Regular donors develop strong relationships with the University and it is these long-term relationships that are important in building a successful university.
Although the focus of the Annual Appeal is mid-year, donations can be made at anytime through the University Foundation.
The current priority areas are:
- University initiatives (unrestricted)—provides the Vice-Chancellor with a flexible fund to support key opportunities from year to year, such as special student needs, academic support, and innovative partnerships.
- Scholarships and bursaries—supports the Chancellor’s Scholarships, which help USC retain and attract the brightest minds to the Sunshine Coast. It also supports bursaries, which provide crucial funds to students most in need.
- Campus enhancement—supports beautification projects such as artwork and landscaping, as well as new buildings and facilities, to create a stimulating learning environment. A high priority is the USC Olympic pool.
- Research—helps ease financial barriers to cutting-edge research, allowing students and academics to make discoveries that put USC on the map and enhance our region and world.
- Art Gallery exhibitions—supports the Gallery's popular annual exhibition program focusing on contemporary Australian art and design.

Staff members now have the option of giving through payroll deduction by downloading the Staff giving form (PDF 288KB) * or contacting the USC Foundation.
Sponsorships
As well as philanthropic support, the University also invites sponsorship of priority projects. For example, this could include sponsorship of a student award.
