Billy Potter (1998) Boxing
One of the great all-round athletes, Billy Potter was not only a versatile boxer, he also excelled at swimming, surf lifesaving, running and rugby league.
Billy took out seven state boxing titles—in three different weight divisions—and the Australian featherweight boxing title in 1936.
He taught thousands of children to swim, including many Sunshine Coast surf lifesaving champions.
