Sunshine Coast Sports Hall of Fame
The Sunshine Coast Sports Hall of Fame was developed to acknowledge the sporting achievements of local athletes by inducting them into the Hall of Fame.
The tireless work behind the scenes of sports administrators, coaches and officials is also recognised by Certificates of Merit.
Sport is an essential culture around the world as it overcomes restrictive borders and can unify a country, and show the world amazing human performance. The quest is to go one step better.
The Sunshine Coast is fortunate to have a great community spirit the enables everyone to participate in sport, which is thanks to local sporting clubs, sponsors and government organisations.
The Sunshine Coast Sports Hall of Fame was initiated in 1991, and unfortunately the committee ceased to operate in 1994. The Hall of Fame was reignited in 1998 with support from the University of the Sunshine Coast.
