Intervarsity sport

University sport events provide a great opportunity to represent your university and meet people from all over Australia.

USC Sport sends sporting teams to University Games events each year in a number of sports. Teams representing the University compete as the USC Spartans.

To be eligible you must be an enrolled student.

Sports Specific Managers (SSM)

USC Sport is seeking Sports Specific Managers (SSM) for this year’s University Games in a voluntary capacity. All teams that compete at University Games require a SSM. Positions are available in a number of sports. Application forms can be found on the Portal under USC Sport. 

Northern University Games

The 2013 Northern University Games will be held from 7—11 July in Brisbane, Queensland. Each year it attracts close to 1,000 competitors and students from more than 15 universities across Queensland and Northern NSW, to compete in a wide range of sports:

Australian University Games

The 2013 Australian University Games will be held on the Gold Coast, Queensland from 29 September—4 October.

Join students from over 40 universities across Australia to compete in a wide range of sports. The sports to be included in the 2013 Australian University Games are listed below.

Australian University Championships

Australian University Sport has a number of exciting Championships on offer each year. These stand alone events give students the opportunity to compete at a national level in a number of different sports that are not contested at the Australian University Games.

Orienteering

The 2013 Australian University Championship for Orienteering is held in conjunction with Orienteering Australia's National Championships.

Twenty20 Cricket

The 2013 Australian University Championship for T20 Cricket will be held inToowoomba, QLD.

Surfing

The 2013 Australian University Championship for Surfing will be held on the beautiful beaches of Wollongong, NSW.

Snow sports

Represent The University of Queensland at Threadbow, NSW for the 2013 Australian University Championships - Snow sports.

Triathlon

Compete in a Triathlon for the 2013 Australian University Championships. One event per state.

Distance Running

Join in the fun of the Sydney Marathon with the 2013 Australian University Championships for Distance Running will have one event in each state.

Rowing

Compete in the 2013 Australian University Championships in Ballarat, Vic.

3x3 Basketball + Cheer

Compete in the 2013 Australian University Championships in Ballarat, Vic. 

World University Games and Championships

Each year Australian University Sport (AUS) selects teams to represent Australia in the World University Championship or World Universiade events.

The Universiades are multisport events with many similarities to the Olympic Games and are held in the odd numbered years. The World University Championships are single sport events held in the even numbered years.
