This free seminar will present some of the latest young driver road safety research in Australia and Germany.
It will be of interest to anyone interested in adolescent safety, including parents and teachers, academics and researchers, policy-makers and implementers.
Presenting will be:
- Dr Bridie Scott-Parker from the University of the Sunshine Coast: Are parents and learner drivers seeing the same road?
- Dr Walter Funk from the University of Erlangen, Nuremberg: Accompanied driving from age 17.
- Bernhard Schrauth from the University of Erlangen, Nuremberg: Relevance of peers and other social resources for participation in the Voluntary German Accompanied Driving Scheme.
- Cassandra Gauld from the Queensland University of Technology: Reducing smartphone use among young drivers: Are the messages having the desired effect?
