Rick Guidotti worked as a high profile fashion photographer for fifteen years in New York, Milan, Paris, and London. His clients included Elle magazine, L’Oreal, Revlon and Yves Saint Laurent. Reflecting on beauty, ethics, and diversity - in 1998, he founded Positive Exposure, a non-profit organisation based in New York, celebrating genetic diversity and challenging the stigmas associated with physical, behavioural and intellectual difference.
Rick lectures world-wide, collaborating with community organisations, universities, and medical schools. His photographic exhibition “Positive Exposure, The Spirit of Difference” - which premiered at the 2001 People’s Genome Celebration at the Smithsonian’s National Museum of Natural History - continues to tour internationally.
Through art, education and advocacy with Positive Exposure, and its PEARLS K-12 schools-based initiative and FRAME (Faces Redefining the Art of Medical Education) programs, Rick promotes conversations that highlight the richness of human diversity.
