Overall Campaign Target:     $5,000,000

Overall Result:                        $5,071,022


Through the Building Excellence Campaign, USC leadership and Foundation Board members identified the following key funding priorities for the University:

  • $3.5 million to support the construction of a new, state-of-the-art Health and Sport Centre for teaching and research.
  • $1 million to generate more student scholarships and bursaries, aiding deserving students with much needed financial assistance.
  • $500,000 for campus enhancements, to develop green linkways between campus precincts, enhance the Art Gallery courtyard, and bring innovative artwork to public spaces.

During the campaign period, donor support of these priorities was encouraged, however gifts to all areas and programs of the University were counted as part of the campaign.

Between the 1st of January 2006 and the 31st of December 2008 – the official campaign timeline – $5,071,022 was received from 271 donors and sponsors.

A successful campaign was delivered to the students of USC, for the benefit of the broader Sunshine Coast region.
