High school attended: Bundaberg State High School
Degree: Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Business (major in Journalism)
Target graduation date: End of 2018
My journey: After I graduated Year 12, I took a gap year and worked full time as a medical receptionist to set myself up for university the following year. I relocated from Bundaberg to the Sunshine Coast to pursue my degree.
Other: I volunteered for the USC Imaginarium Day in 2015. Although I have only been studying for six months, I plan on getting work experience for Journalism and being apart of many projects within the university.
Career aspirations: On completion of my degree, I would love to pursue a career in Journalism and hopefully one day co-host ‘The Project’ with Carrie Bickmore.
Why did you become an Ambassador? I became an Ambassador to help students who are stressed or concerned about their degree, the transition from high school to university and to be able to share my advice and experiences, so their time at USC is one to remember.
What do you like about USC? USC is such a serene environment, which makes studying a little less tedious. All the lecturers and tutors are approachable, and are happy to answer a dozen emails about assignments.
