Lauren Pratt

High school attended: Kepnock State High School (Bundaberg)

Degree: Bachelor of Occupational Therapy

Target graduation date: End of 2017

My journey: I finished school in 2012 and was not sure what I wanted to do for the rest of my life. I moved to Brisbane to study a nursing degree at QUT. After 12 months, I decided it was not something I wanted to pursue. I applied at USC to study Occupational Therapy and began my journey in 2014.

Other: During my university degree, I will participate in 1000 hours of clinical placement which is an excellent opportunity to further my knowledge base and to get real life experience as an Occupational Therapist.

Career aspirations: Once I complete my degree, I will be a qualified Occupational Therapist. There are so many interesting fields within the profession and I have not yet decided which one I want to work in.

Why did you become an Ambassador? USC is such an awesome place to study and I look forward to sharing my positive experiences with potential future students.

What do you like about USC? USC has such an open, relaxed and supportive atmosphere. The small size of the population means USC is a close knit community and tutors and lecturers always make an effort to remember your name. USC offers modern facilities and provides excellent opportunities. The best part? The beach is just around the corner!
