The University wants to help our staff improve their health and wellbeing and the quality of their working life. To that end the University has engaged the services of Optum (formerly known as PPC Worldwide) to provide an Employee Assistance Program (EAP).
This program provides staff and their immediate family members (those who live with the staff member under the same roof) with counselling and related services. Professional counselling services for a range of issues, including work-related, family, marital, personal and financial, and access to 24 hour, 7 day a week telephone counselling services through a national 1800 604 640 (toll free) telephone line are available.
These services are confidential and anonymous, no-one at the University need be aware that you have used the service and you can contact Optum directly to make your own appointments.
Managers and supervisors can access the Manager's Hotline to discuss any work related issues.
This program is funded by the University and commenced on 1 May 2013.
