USC Contact Person

USC is committed to providing a safe and healthy work environment for Contractors engaged to work at, or for USC.

The USC Contractors - Health and Safety Guidelines (PDF 131KB) and its associated resources have been developed to assist USC personnel ('USC Contact Person') who engage the services of a Contractor to understand their obligations with respect to health and safety and what is required for them to fulfil these obligations.

Contractors are classified either as: Low Risk, Moderate Risk or High Risk.

Resources for each classification of contractor provided here will assist the USC Contact Person engaging Contractor services to fulfil their health and safety obligations.

Complete the Introduction Letter for the Contractor, and provide this document together with the relevant Contractor Induction Guide (Low and Moderate/High) and Checklist to the Contractor for their completion. These resources are available on the Contractor tab.

Low risk contractors

In accordance with the USC Contact Person Summary, some Low Risk Contractors will be required to submit a risk assessment for the work they are to undertake. For your information, a brief guide to doing risk assessments is included below to familiarise you with this process.
