Angela is an Educational Designer with USC’s Centre for Support and Advancement of Learning and Teaching.

Angela has 13 years experience as a teacher within Queensland State Schools in Early Childhood and Primary classrooms. During her time as a teacher, Angela was a key advisory teacher and coordinator of Learning Support and Special Education programs across multiple school sites. In these roles, Angela developed curriculum programs and policy documents, and facilitated professional development opportunities for staff. In the higher education sector, as a sessional academic in the School of Education, Angela taught courses in classroom management, pedagogy and curriculum at undergraduate and postgraduate levels for a number of years.

In her current role as an Educational Designer, Angela provides quality learning and teaching support to academics to design curriculum and utilise educational technologies that enhance the student experience across a variety of teaching and learning environments. She encourages academics to design learning experiences that engage students and cater to their diverse needs. Angela works as part of the C~SALT team to build institutional capacity and staff and student capabilities; and promotes effective and innovative technology-enhanced learning environments within the University.

She has also assisted on research projects that have investigated the use of Pebble+ within the Occupational Therapy curriculum at USC and as a curriculum developer on a project that encourages secondary school STEM students to consider higher education opportunities.
