Greg Thorne



Greg has practised as a psychologist for over 20 years. Prior to joining the University of the Sunshine Coast in 2009, he worked for six years as a counsellor with the Queensland University of Technology (QUT) specialising in career development. In 2007 he received a QUT Vice-Chancellor’s Award for Excellence for his work in the areas of transition to university and the first year experience. He has also worked at the University of Southern Queensland as a counsellor and career counsellor. From 1999 to 2003 he worked as psychologist and coordinator of the Athlete Career and Education program at the Western Australian Institute of Sport. Greg was a sport psychology consultant to the Australian Institute of Sport Squash Squad from 2003 to 2006.
