Julianne Bernhagen is the Manager, USC SouthBank and Interstate Partnerships. She is responsible for the ongoing development and overall management of the USC SouthBank campus, along with managing the University’s relationship with a partner entity, Australian Technical and Management College to expand USC offerings for international students in Melbourne and Sydney.
Prior to this role Julianne worked in the Executive Projects Unit managing strategic projects related to funding submissions and/or strategic initiatives of the Vice-Chancellor and President and Executive to advance USC’s institutional profile, reputation and performance. She previously worked as Consultant and Proprietor of JB-HR Consulting Pty Ltd providing human resources (HR), employee relations, organisational development, and change management services to higher education, local government, government owned corporations, and not for profit organisations. In the previous 20 years Julianne held HR and leadership roles with Maroochy Shire Council, USC, University of Southern Queensland and Queensland University of Technology.
Julianne attended primary and secondary school on the Sunshine Coast, and initially joined the University as part of the planning team in 1995. Julianne was USC’s inaugural Human Resources Manager and elected USC general staff member on the University Council.
