Don is responsible for leadership and management of the Office of the Vice-Chancellor and President; formal interaction with the Vice-Chancellor and Executive; managing specific executive projects; and oversight of all executive projects.
The projects, which may be at planning and development, funding submission or implementation stage, deliver a range of strategies and continuous business improvements for the sustainability and development of the University and/or the effective and efficient operation of the Office of the Vice-Chancellor and President.
Don has worked in universities for nearly 20 years, predominantly in the development of teaching and research, but also in quality assurance, policy development and strategic planning. He has been an active member of the Council of Australian Directors of Academic Development (CADAD) and the Australasian Research Management Society (ARMS).
Prior to working in universities he was a secondary school teacher and senior officer in the Victorian education department. He actively pursues an interest in social theory, particularly the work of Jürgen Habermas.
