This role involves leading and managing core functions of the OVCP, including development of the OVCP team, key systems and processes, and the interface with the USC Executive, faculties and cost centres.
Kate joined USC at the start of 2007 after three years at UNSW where she was the personal assistant to the director of a research centre, project officer to several senior researchers and the administrator of three Master-level courses.
Throughout 2009 and 2010, while employed as the Administration Coordinator for Teaching and Research Services at USC, Kate also provided Secretary and Treasurer support to the Council of Australian Directors of Academic Development (CADAD).
During this time she established fundamental administration and accounting processes for CADAD, including event management processes for the biannual CADAD meetings.
Kate has significant experience in the preparation of major funding submissions, including successful submissions for A$5 million from the International Collaborative Indigenous Health Research Partnership (NHMRC-CIHR-HRCNZ), A$24 million from the Structural Adjustment Fund (DEEWR), and A$5.45 million from the Collaborative Research Network (DIISR).
Kate is currently undertaking a Master of Business Administration at USC.
