Higher degrees by research projects

Breadcrumbs

As one of the fastest growing universities in Australia, research is set for explosive growth at the University of the Sunshine Coast. Our new directions in research are exciting for our Higher Degree Research (HDR) candidates and are impacting on the local region.

Research underpins almost every aspect of our lives and communities. It contributes to the decision-making of individuals, organisations and governments, business and industry. Major findings can cause significant changes in our society.

Our academics and students are tackling the key research issues that are precious to our region and livelihoods, incorporating areas as diverse as: climate change and sustainability; life sciences, including forestry and environmental science; health, psychology, social work and counselling; social justice and community resilience; social sciences; human factors and sociotechnical systems; creative arts and humanities; tourism, marketing and management; accounting and finance; interactive technologies and adolescent risk research; and creative industries.

HDR candidates in the Faculty of Arts, Business and Law belong to a growing postgraduate student cohort that is making its mark on the world.
