Profile

Dr David Lacey is internationally recognised as a leading expert in identity security and financial crime. He has served as a senior executive across national law enforcement and national security, maintains active involvement with government committees and boards, and has implemented national law enforcement and intelligence capabilities. David is an expert reviewer of government and business integrity, intelligence and performance frameworks. He has been formally recognised as an outstanding public sector leader, won awards for his contribution to national security capabilities, and academic prizes for his research across information systems, criminology, accounting and management. David was awarded his doctorate from ANU without amendment, and maintains an active involvement with several not-for-profit endeavours in supporting victims of crime. David is a Senior Research Fellow in Identity Security at the University of the Sunshine Coast and a senior visiting fellow in criminology and business at the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology and the University of New South Wales.

David is a member of the Centre for Human Factors and Sociotechnical Systems at the University of the Sunshine Coast.
