Dr Inez Mahony has a PhD in Journalism from the University of Queensland. She has an exemplary academic record with studies focusing on Indonesian language, anthropology, journalism, human rights and aid effectiveness. Dr Mahony is also an experienced teacher in the fields of communication, journalism and Indonesian studies - at USC and UQ. Her work is underpinned by extensive in-country work experience, research, and travel in Southeast Asia spanning 25 years.
At present Inez works with the Faculty Research Enterprise group (schools and clusters). The group is responsible for management of the FABL Research Growth Scheme; delivery of Faculty-based HDR functions including general HDR enquiries, confirmation and thesis examination presentations and funding.
Inez is also Research Officer for the Arts Research in Creative Humanities (ARCH) research cluster.
