Dr Keyvan Ansari joined the University of the Sunshine Coast in 2016 as Lecturer in ICT. Before that he was an Associate Lecturer at the School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, Queensland University of Technology (QUT), developing and delivering a wide range of Computer Science and Engineering subjects including Programming, Computer Systems and Networks, Wireless and Mobile Networks Engineering, and Engineering Design.

Keyvan’s PhD was a multidisciplinary scholarly investigation on developing new scientific approaches for the design, development and evaluation of inter-vehicle communications, networking and positioning systems as part of Cooperative Intelligent Transportation Systems ensuring the safety of both roads and rail networks. He is interested in designing and engineering ubiquitous connected computing platforms by taking a data-centric approach. His current research interests include inter-vehicle communications and routing protocols and positioning techniques, integrated systems for intelligent transport safety applications, requirements engineering and management, as well as cloud computing and multimedia data mining. He has served on the technical program committees for several international conferences and as a reviewer for a number of international journals and magazines.
