In 1997, Ross enrolled in a Bachelor of Business in 1997 at the then Sunshine Coast University College. He completed this degree in 2000 and worked as a financial / management accountant in private enterprise.
He has been employed as an accounting sessional tutor since 2003 at the University of the Sunshine Coast. Ross recognised that to be a competent teacher giving the best possible service to students he would have to enrol in formal courses in education. He has since completed a Graduate Certificate in Professional Learning and Master of Education.
His main teaching duties are in the fields of basic accounting, financial accounting, management accounting and information technologies for accounting. He has been engaged by the CPA Australia to run workshops in Microsoft Excel as part of their member’s professional development.
