Anthony is a lecturer in the Bachelor of Nutrition and Dietetics program at USC. He is an Accredited Practicing Dietitian and has experience working with a variety of patients in the Private Practice sector. Anthony was awarded his doctorate at Flinders University in South Australia where he evaluated portable methods of body composition assessment against DEXA in older adults with hip fracture.
Anthony's primary research interests include ageing, body composition assessment, malnutrition, Mediterranean diets, sarcopenia and cachexia. Anthony is particularly interested in exploring dietary interventions that attenuate the loss of skeletal muscle mass that is associated with ageing.
Anthony is also passionate about teaching into the discipline of Nutrition and Dietetics. He is particularly passionate about engaging in effective teaching and learning strategies that maximize student learning outcomes and fosters life-long learning.
