Janice Layh commenced nursing in 1979. She has worked extensively in Emergency Nursing including 8 years on the Sunshine Coast Helicopter Retrieval Team. Janice has worked in Tasmania, Western Australia and other parts of Queensland. She currently works as a Clinical Nurse Consultant on the Sunshine Coast and participates in mentoring graduate RN’s into the workforce.

Janice has also participated in clinical facilitation of nursing students in the clinical areas of ICU, renal, coronary care, emergency and surgical areas. Nursing education positions have included Basic Life Support.

Janice has been teaching at the Sunshine Coast University for 5 years part-time and is currently researching in the area of moral distress in nursing.
