Sample catering menus


USC Venues has catering options to suit every budget and event.

The following sample menus should be used as a guide only. Many other menu options are available on request. On booking, the team will discuss the individual needs of your event and tailor a menu to suit. Dinner and bar packages are also available.

The University reserves the right to alter the menu due to seasonal availability. Prices quoted should be used as a guide only and may change at any time. Prices quoted are for catering only and room hire is additional.

Morning and afternoon tea

Morning and afternoon teas from A$7-11.50 per person

  • #1: A$7 per person, including biscuits
  • #2: A$9.50 per person, including sweets and / or fruit
  • #3: A$11.50 per person, including VIP sweet options
  • #4: A$11.50 per person, healthier options with fruit

All morning and afternoon teas include tea, coffee and iced water. Juice is additional on request.

Minimum A$75 per delivery. Not available on weekends and public holidays.

Conference day package

A$40-$46 per person

Arrival tea and coffee (Eco cups)

Morning tea

  • Muffins and chef's selection 
  • Fruit platter 
  • Tea, percolated coffee and iced water

Afternoon tea

  • A selection of slices, pastries and gourmet biscuits
  • Tea, percolated coffee and iced water

Lunch: Package 1  (30-50 people)

  • A selection of wraps and focaccias — all with gourmet and vegetarian fillings
  • Fresh sliced fruit platter and cheeses
  • Teas, percolated coffee and fruit juice

Lunch: Package 2  (minimum 50 people)

Choice of two from the following main options

  • Beef lasagne
  • Chicken parmigiana
  • Roast vegetable frittata (v, gf)
  • Beer battered fish and chips
  • Seasonal filo crusted quiche (v option available)
  • Beef massaman curry with rice (gf)
  • Vegetable and lentil curry with rice (v)
  • Thai green chicken curry with rice (gf, df)

 Served with the following

  •  2-3 seasonal salads (100+ people is 3 salads)
  • Fresh fruit slices and cheeses
  • Bread rolls
  • Specialty teas, percolated coffee, iced water and juice

Choose either from the following dessert options

  • Australian cheese board served with seasonal fresh fruit


  • One of the following sweet options:
    • Sticky date pudding served with butterscotch sauce and ice cream
    • Pavola roulade
    • Fruit crumble and custard
    • Selection of assorted slices and petite fores

Minimum number for catering is 30 people per day. Minimum number for catering on weekends and public holidays is 50 people per day. Seven working days notice is required, with final numbers including special diets. Special dietary requests and late orders attract a surcharge on all menus. Minimum A$75 per delivery. Menus are seasonal and may be altered at the University's discretion. Refer to the Catering application for other terms and conditions.
