Chris was one of Australia’s most versatile and competitive motorcycle racers. He competed on the world stage for 13 years, claiming success in three world championship series.
He made an immediate impact in the Supersport World Championship from 2000-2003 and captured the world title in his final season there.
Chris also won 10 races in the Superbike World Championship, which he contested during 2004-2005 and 2010. He competed in 73 races in the prestigious MotoGP World Championship, from 2005-2009 and 2012, snaring seven podium finishes including a famous win in the wet at Le Mans in 2007.
