There are a number of cycle and pedestrian access points onto the campus. The Alumni Way bicycle and pedestrian path links the eastern and western accesses of the campus and a network of paths connects the University to Sippy Downs, Buderim and Mooloolaba.
The University has a selection of bicycle racks and end-of-trip facilities on campus. Showers are located on the ground level of the following buildings on campus:
- USC Bike Hub
- Sports Tower
- Sports Stadium
- Building D
- Building I
- Building K
- Building B
- Innovation Centre
- Uni Club
Refer to the cyclist facilities map for the locations of these facilities.
Please consider pedestrian safety when riding on bicycle / pedestrian paths and remember to dismount when in the central campus area as this area is a walk only zone.
The USC Bike Hub is a dedicated end-of-trip facility for use by students and staff. Located adjacent to carpark 5, 150m from Buildings C and D, the Bike Hub offers parking and lockers for bikes, gear lockers, showers and toilet facilities.
Access is granted by swipe card only, with the Bike Hub monitored at all times by two CCTV cameras. You must adhere to the Bike Hub conditions of use at all times.
Access is free - complete the registration form. Personal lockers are available for a semester-long deposit of A$20 and are allocated on a first-come first-served basis.
If you would like to secure a personal locker you must select the option for bike hub access and locker on the online registration form and agree to the Bike Hub Personal Lockers conditions of use. You will be notified via email within 7-10 days as to whether a locker is available for you. If you are allocated a locker you will receive a link (containing your locker number) to USC’s online payment facility where you can proceed with your locker deposit payment via credit card only. Once you have completed your transaction you must print your receipt and take it to Asset Management Services Reception where you will be issued a key for your locker.
When you no longer require a locker you must return the key to Asset Management Services Reception along with your deposit receipt and complete a One stop Refund Form at Reception. You refund will be processed to your credit card usually within 7 days.
