Vision for USC Moreton Bay
USC will develop a full-service campus at Petrie that will become equal in size to our Sunshine Coast campus over the first 10-15 years.
USC is expanding its presence in the Moreton Bay region with the announcement of the Caboolture campus from 2018. The Petrie campus will complement our Caboolture campus and is expected to cater for up to 10,000 students within the first 10 years, starting from 2020.
The new campus at Petrie will be comprehensive from day one offering undergraduate, postgraduate and research programs.
The Bridge fly-through
USC's campus at Petrie will have a comprehensive offering of programs including law, business, science, engineering and many specialty courses such as mechatronics.
It is expected this program offering will grow to more than 100 courses within 10 years of the campus' operation.
If you did not finish Year 12, or have been in the workforce for some time and are returning to study, USC offers preparatory courses to help your transition into university study.
Location and transport
The new university site is strategically located in close proximity to key transport infrastructure including the Petrie railway station (at the junction of the existing Caboolture Rail Line and the soon-to-be-opened Moreton Bay Rail Link), Gympie Road and the Bruce Highway.
The site is located approximately 20km from Brisbane International Airport, 22km from the Brisbane CBD, 25km from USC's Caboolture campus and 60km to USC's Sippy Downs campus.
