The University of the Sunshine Coast has cancelled its free shuttle bus for students from Gympie for tomorrow (Tuesday 6 March).
USC made this decision following advice that flood waters are likely to cut the highway south of Gympie.
The bus service will recommence on Wednesday 7 March, conditions permitting.
Meanwhile, the University will remain open for business for the remainder of today (Monday 5 March).
USC will monitor weather conditions overnight and make a decision about the University’s operations for Tuesday in the morning.
An announcement will be posted on the USC homepage prior to 6.30am.
However, with more rain forecast today, staff and students are encouraged to monitor weather and road condition reports and make individual assessments of their homeward travel plans.
Staff are required to consult with supervisors if they consider it necessary to leave work early.
