The University of the Sunshine Coast has been awarded its eighth consecutive Employer of Choice for Women (EOCFW) citation.
The Equal Opportunity for Women in the Workplace Agency (EOWA) made the announcement in Perth today (13 March).
USC was one of 125 organisations to be awarded nationally, and one of only 14 in Queensland, to earn the EOCFW citation.
USC’s Vice-Chancellor Professor Greg Hill said he was pleased with the University’s achievement in this area.
“USC is proud to have been recognised as an employer that is making its contribution to raising the status of women in the workplace,” he said.
“The rigorously-assessed citation acknowledges our policies and practices that support women at work.”
Speaking at the national launch of the 2012 EOCFW list in Perth, EOWA Director Helen Conway congratulated USC and the other citation winners for their innovation and commitment to improving gender equality in the workplace.
