The University of the Sunshine Coast will help its students and recent graduates present themselves to some of Australia’s leading employers next week by providing transport to a huge careers expo in Brisbane.
The University will run a free bus to The Big Meet Careers Fair 2012 – a travelling showcase of major national companies that will be at the Sofitel Brisbane Central from 11am to 3pm on Friday 16 March.
USC Industry Liaison Officer Melissa Sheridan encouraged students to get on board the bus to boost their career prospects.
“There will be more than 85 organisations under the one roof, so this is an ideal opportunity for students to meet a whole range of different employers who may be looking to take on staff,” she said.
“It’s a great way for students to align themselves with the industry they want to work in. They can apply for jobs directly with employers, take business cards, and leave their resumes all on the one day.”
The free bus will leave the bus transit centre at USC at 9am. To book a seat, students and graduates will need to register by Monday 12 March at Student Hub> and click on “Events”.
