The University of the Sunshine Coast’s first celebration of Diversity Week will get into full swing tomorrow with plenty of activities on campus to demonstrate support for culture, equity and inclusion.

The four-day event, which began on Monday night, has the theme “Together We Grow” and was timed to coincide with Queensland’s Disability Action Week.

USC’s Student Equity and Diversity Officer Marjorie Blowers said Diversity Week 2012 aimed to showcase the cultures of USC’s campus community and open up the lines of communication about equity and inclusion.

Tomorrow’s activities will include live music, demonstrations by Vision Australia, Indigenous art workshops and juggling and hoola hoop workshops.

A schedule of events for Diversity Week, including a “Life after University” workshop on Thursday for students with disabilities, is on the USC website
