He might be a mad keen Broncos fan, but Senior Lecturer in Accounting Dr Peter Baxter doesn’t mind being a “bunny” every now and again … if it’s for a good cause.
Dr Baxter this week dressed as the Easter Bunny to sell hot cross buns and Easter egg raffle tickets on campus as part of fundraising efforts for the upcoming University of the Sunshine Coast Relay for Life.
USC is currently the only university in Queensland that hosts a Relay for Life event, held annually to support the Cancer Council Queensland.
Dr Baxter, of Caloundra West, will lead a team of staff from the Faculty of Arts and Business in the relay-style event from 7pm to 7am on 10-11 May at the USC athletics track.
He has also urged other USC staff and students to form teams and join in the fundraising efforts.
For more details or to register a team, go to the Relay For Life website at www.relayforlife.org.au
