Students, staff and visitors to the University of the Sunshine Coast looking for easy access to parking on campus have been advised to try the carparks at either end of USC’s Sports Stadium.
The paid carparks – marked on the University’s campus map as P12b and P12c – currently have more than 200 vacant parking bays at peak traffic times daily.
Carpark 12c is adjacent USC’s swimming pool and is about two minutes walk from the UniClub and five minutes walk from the centre of campus, while Carpark 12b is slightly further.
Access to these carparks is off the roundabout at Sippy Downs Drive outside the secondary campus of Chancellor State College.
A meeting of USC students, convened by the Student Guild at the UniClub on Tuesday 14 May to discuss paid parking, found that many people were unaware that these two carparks were available for ePermit holders or eTicket purchasers.
The University also has a free carpark (marked as P15 on the campus map) on its eastern boundary at Claymore Road, which is about a 10-15 minute walk to the centre of campus. It also has about 200 vacant parking bays each day.
USC’s Security can be contacted on 5430 1168 if a Security escort is required at night.
