Christopher Delatorre of Carseldine has secured a job at one of Australia’s leading property valuation and advisory groups after completing a Bachelor of Property Economics and Development at the University of the Sunshine Coast.
Christopher, 23, who graduated from USC on Thursday 3 October, is now working as a property valuer at Herron Todd White Property Valuers in Brisbane.
The former Northside Christian College student said USC prepared him well for entry to the workforce.
“USC assists students with registration for both the Queensland Valuers Registration Board and Australian Property Institute,” he said.
“This meant, by the time I finished my degree, I was fully qualified to work within the industry."
Christopher said USC’s relaxed lifestyle and atmosphere prompted him to transfer from a city university to USC.
“Not only is the location convenient, the traffic and public transport are much more accessible at USC compared to other city universities,” he said.
“The welcoming, relaxed campus atmosphere at USC provides a great environment for students.
“I also found the smaller class sizes mean you can be more interactive with other students and educators, which only adds to learning and preparing students for the workforce.”
