Alicia De Paoli of Bundaberg has secured a job at a leading health food company, Wheatgrass Pty Ltd, after completing a Bachelor of Business at the University of the Sunshine Coast.
Alicia 21, who graduated from USC on Thursday 3 October, is now working as an assistant manager at Wheatgrass’s Caloundra office.
The former Shalom Catholic College student said her degree had provided her with the knowledge and expertise to work in all areas of business.
“I am enjoying working at a company, which sells its products on a national and international level,” she said.
“My position is to focus on growth opportunities for the company and improve overall efficiency.”
Alicia said she enjoyed USC’s relaxed atmosphere and ‘hands-on’ approach to learning.
“I never felt lost in the crowd at USC. The smaller class sizes and approachable teaching staff made it an ideal learning environment,” she said.
“One of my most rewarding experiences at USC was participating in a study exchange in Seville, Spain, via the USC Global Opportunities program.
“I feel it added to my confidence and world knowledge and prepared me for working for a business with an international scope.”
